Chart notes
SHADES OF GLORY stalked the pace while three wide on the backstretch, rallied on the far turn and powered to the front and drew off and was kept to a drive in the end. FOXY ACE stalked the pace while inside, was behind rivals on the far turn then moved out to be three wide in upper stretch, made a bid and was second best. SOURNOIS was unhurried early then rallied four wide on the far turn making a bid then flattened out in late stretch. BEST YEAR YET dueled for the lead while two wide, was in a long drive then faltered in the drive. HOWDY PILGRIM was unhurried early then failed to menace. WINTER WOLF dueled for the lead while inside, was in a long drive then gave way in the stretch. HUNK OF A HIT was unhurried early and inside then was no threat. MAJOR KONG trailed throughout and was being eased up in late stretch and walked off.
