Chart notes
OCTAVIUS PRIME was away well, set all of the pace into the second turn, opened the lead off of the second turn and won in a drive. TEX HANLEY settled in the second flight, saved ground on the second turn, was outfinished in the stretch but held for second over an oncoming rival. IOWA HAWKEYE was unhurried in the early going, gained ground leaving the second turn and was closing on the runner-up but just missed for second. LUVTHEONEURWITH stalked the pace from a three wide running position and was outkicked in the stretch run. WOLF MOON WILSON was shuffled at the start and settled near the rear of the field, was four wide on the second turn and did not mount a late rally in the stretch. BRANNIGAN prompted the pace from a two wide running position and faded in the late going.
