PHOENIX FIRE was unhurried early, went five wide into the turn, angled out seven wide out of the turn, took control at the eighth pole and edged clear. PLEASE THE COURT was taken back early, raced eight wide into the turn, was closing late and finished second best. NICE WORK pressed the early pace from between rivals and weakened. BORTSTEIN was allowed to settle, angled to the inside and offered no rally. SAMURAI JACK set a pressured early pace from off the rail and faded. JUST CALL ME KEN trailed throughout.
