Chart notes
NECKER ISLAND tracked the pace early from the inside, was checked very hard along the turn, stayed on the inside into the lane, made a bid down the lane under a long drive and prevailed in the final stages. MUCHO stalked the pace early on, was in the five path entering the lane with the lead, drifted out a bit down the lane under a long drive and came back for place in the final stages. SIR ALFRED JAMES set the pace early, was in the three path into the lane, was under a long drive in the stretch from between horses but did not have enough late and lost place at the wire. BANGO came in at the start, chased the pace early, was in the six path into the lane while making a bid but flattened out late in the stretch run. LONG WEEKEND was bumped at the start and trailed the field early on, was steadied around fallen foes along the turn and moved up late in the stretch drive. ATOKA was through after a half. ROUGH ENTRY was checked hard along the turn then fell over a fallen foe, walked off after the race. VERTICAL THREAT was bumped around at the start, clipped heels along the turn and fell, vanned off after the race.
