Chart notes
FRONT LOADED rated inside, tracked the pace, was blocked into the stretch, waited, angled four wide, made a steady gain and drew off. MADDY'S DREAM well placed and outside, gained a striking position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, then drifted in and weakened late. SEPTEMBERTEN well placed and outside, gained position two and three wide through the turn, came five wide into the stretch and flattened out. JOE DI BAGGIO drifted out slightly from the gate, vied for the early lead inside, gained a short lead into the stretch, then weakened the final furlong. SELF TAUGHT allowed to settle, angled four wide through the turn, then weakened the final furlong. MY MANE MAN steadied at the start, looped three and four wide through the turn, fanned widest into the stretch and improved position. AMERICAN PRINCE led in the early going, vied down the backstretch for the lead, edged ahead through the turn, then faded in the stretch. ANOTHER DUKE was never involved. CALL CURT broke in at the start and was a brief factor, inside.
