Chart notes
MORGAN COUNTY was crowded on the chute and kept in check through most of the opening quarter mile, gave chase toward the seven sixteenths pole and drew close three wide nearing the head of the lane, stayed on a hard right rein through the stretch but took over the final yards. ZEP drew clear and angled in to set a pressured pace about the three path, rounded the turn near the rail, dug in from the head of the lane but was met late yards and relented nearing the wire. ROCKET SOUND chased and rounded the turn two deep, then dueled through the stretch to take third the final yards. SO COURAGEOUS chased inside, rounded the turn at the rail and raced close through the upper stretch before flattening stride. MIO GRACELAND chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn about the three path and raced evenly in the lane.
