Chart notes
SHINNY settled in good position and tracked the pace through the backstretch, circled up closer near the quarter pole then took a slim lead in the upper stretch, fought back when challenged by TOP OF THE GAME with a furlong left to run, bumped with rival near the sixteenth pole, stayed on gamely and got a nose up on the wire. TOP OF THE GAME was allowed to settle through early stages, picked up the pace along the outside late on the far turn, roused forward to challenge SHINNY for the lead near the furlong marker, bumped with rival in deep stretch, stayed on gamely, dueled in final strides and just missed. KONA COAST pressed the pace around the first turn then vied for the lead racing outside of APPROVED through the backstretch, held a slim lead around the far turn, fought back in the upper stretch then had no late kick left in reserve. WE'RE JUST SAYIN was reserved racing in the back, hustled up four wide into the lane and had a mild improve. FIRE WHEN READY raced up close just off the embattled pair the moved up the inside to challenge for the lead past the half mile marker, remained in close contention around the far turn then came up tired in the drive. CHECK AND RAISE raced off the pace, came wide into the lane and never threatened. APPROVED held a slim lead around the first turn, vied for command through the backstretch then came up empty midway around the far turn. RACE WAS HAND TIMED. THE RIDER OF TOP OF THE GAME LODGED FOUL AGAINST SHINNY FOR INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH, AFTER REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN
