Chart notes
MURDO was last into the turn, moved up behind rivals through mid-turn, checked sharply nearing the five-sixteenths pole, shifted four wide into the lane, gained momentum straightening then finished with good energy to catch the leader nearing the sixteenth pole and cleared. PAST POST set the pace on a clear lead through the turn and into the lane, was still well clear with an eighth to go but could not hold the winner safe while well clear for the place spot. VENETIAN DREAM chased the pace from along the inside and turned in an even effort while gaining the show spot. NO OBLIGATION was in the three path through the turn, came into the lane three wide and weakened late. EL PIQUIN raced in the four to five path through the turn and into the lane and never was a factor. DAY IN THE COUNTRY chased the pace while two wide into the turn and was empty after straightening in the lane. GOTTSACKER saved ground through the turn and into the lane and was always last.
