Chart notes
FORTUNATA ITALIA chased down the backstretch, raced in the four path of the turn then dug in through the stretch to get up the final jump. MISS MIDNIGHT set a pressured pace and contested the edge nearest the rail on the turn, dueled clear past the eighth pole, was steadily encouraged through the lane but was caught at the wire. SHINY PENNY chased through the backstretch, contested at a close disadvantage two deep on the turn, dropped back leaving the eighth pole then flattened late yards. LA LIMA gave chase inside, raced near the rail on the turn and ran evenly in the lane. BODIE'S STORM gave chase, rounded the turn about the three path and ran evenly in the lane. BLUE BONNIE chased through the backstretch, ran at the rail on the turn but showed little further. JUDY BYRD was not a factor. ACORN DANCER gave only distant chase and was never a factor. This race was hand timed.
