Chart notes
SWINTON broke a half-step slow, was hustled to the lead, showed the way in the two path through the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, kicked clear in upper stretch, was put to a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker and held under strong urging. FORTY COMETS chased the pace down the backstretch, saved ground in pursuit of the leader on the turn, moved out in the final furlong and finished willingly for the place. SCHERZANDO was urged along off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, was driven four wide into the stretch and finished with good courage for the show. BREW PUB settled on the outside, was urged three wide on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. B C GLORY DAYS chased the pace on the outside then three wide on the turn, made a bid at the five-sixteenths, lost touch with the winner in upper stretch and tired. GOT THE GOLD was urged along towards the back, went four wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to rally. SIR WILLIAM broke a half-step slow then was hustled, dropped well behind under urging, saved ground on the turn and showed little. FIVE-EIGHTHS FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED DUE TO A TIMING ISSUE
