Chart notes
MIACOMET quickly cleared off, maintained a loose lead in hand, drew off willingly under driving pressure through upper stretch, and held safely. VAIL OF HONOR required urging to keep pace while lagging behind the field around the first turn, shifted three wide while picking up stride into the far turn, rallied around that bend, then sustained his long rally to reach place passing the furlong pole, and finished well to narrow the clear leader's margin. SONIC CITY settled off of the pace along the inside, gained between horses at the half mile pole to take aim on the clear leader into the far turn, chased that rival around that bend while under steady urging, but tired in upper stretch after proving no match, and lost place passing the furlong pole. SEATTLESWAY stalked along the inside, but faded around the far turn. LOVING LUCKY stalked the loose leader two wide, but faded under a drive around the far turn. COUNTRY CAPTAIN tracked three wide around the first turn, but was done early, and eased through the lane.
