Chart notes
HIGH SPEED STEF stalked the pace on the outside, gained a striking position and the lead on the two path through the turn, then drew off in the stretch and was kept to the task. FRANKLY MY DEAR tracked the pace, angled out into the stretch, then veered out late and held the place. BREEHAZEL well placed and outside, held position three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and weakened the final furlong and was vanned off after the race. GREAT WARRIOR (IRE) set the pace off the rail, angled in into the turn, then weakened in the stretch. STARSHIP UNICA allowed to settle, passed a tiring rival. COCOA ICING well placed, held position on the two path through the turn, came three wide into the stretch and faded. BLUE KENTUCKY GIRL was no factor. FIVE-FURLONG FRACTION UNAVAILABLE.
