Chart notes
JACKIE A stalked the early pace along the inside down the backstretch, moved up four wide into the upper stretch and finished well to get up under strong pressure. DIALING DIXIE showed good early speed to set the early pace, dug in late and finished willingly to the wire. FLANK SPEED pressed the early leader, raced three to four wide and kept on to the wire. JOHN THE BEAR settled off the early pace, raced along the inside around the far turn and had not enough in the drive. HOISTTHEMAINSAIL dropped back early on, raced in the two path around the far turn, angled six wide and had no late rally. CROWNEDCOUNTCRISTO was unhurried in the early stages, raced five deep into the upper stretch and never threatened. ABSOLVED was slow early, saved ground and had no response. SPEIGHTSTER RED dropped back early, raced widest through the lane and never was a factor. DISPUTED NOTION raced six to seven wide into the upper stretch and never threatened. BILLINGSGATE raced four wide near the quarter pole and failed to sustain a bid.
