Chart notes
RULING EMPIRE a step slow through the turn came four wide into upper stretch surging inside the eighth pole drawing clear late. RESCUE FIVE gave a quick move to put a head in front nearing the quarter pole shaking clear in upper stretch being overpowered from the outside late. BIG TRIP pressed the pace moving between horses near the quarter pole ceding in upper stretch weakening late. BANKX TURBO slow early played no factor. BAYTOWN BEAR pressured the pace on the inside steadying along the rail past the quarter pole fading in upper stretch. SMART RIDE raced mid pack tiring in upper stretch. AN OBJECTION FROM THE RIDER OF BAYTOWN BEAR AGAINST THE RIDERS OF RESCUE FIVE AND BIG TRIP FOR INTEREFERENCE NEAR THE QUARTER POLE WAS DISMISSED BY THE STEWARDS.
