TACTICAL PLAN was outrun early, swung wide, moved up outside rivals on the far turn, rallied four wide into the lane, gained command in midstretch and edged away. BLUGRASCAT'S SMILE raced off the pace inside, moved up on the rail at the half mile marker to contest the pace, dueled on the far turn, dug in gamely in the stretch run and came up second best. MUCHO MAS GRANDE raced two wide off the pace, moved up in tight quarters at the half mile marker, saved ground on the far turn and rallied inside in the stretch. ESPRESSO CALIENTE raced four wide early, then vied three wide for the lead, dueled three wide on the far turn and weakened. DIAMOND SETTER raced five wide early, steadied in tight at the six furlong marker, settled off the pace, angled out entering the stretch and lacked a rally. AHSAD vied two wide, dueled between rivals on the far turn and faded. SPRING EMPEROR vied inside for the early lead, dueled past the half mile marker, then chased and gave way.
