Chart notes
HANDSOME HUSSAR settled off of the pace through the backstretch, mounted a four wide bid on the second turn, was coaxed along leaving the second turn and had a good late kick to prevail. EVEN STEVEN stalked the pace through the second turn, was asked for run nearing the quarter-marker, could not stay on terms with the winner in the stretch, drifted in a bit in the final sixteenth and was outkicked late. NATIONWIDE PRIDE set the pace while being prompted into the second turn, led into the final furlong but was caught at the sixteenth-marker by the winner and was outfinished. LAKER BARRY was forwardly placed into the second turn while two wide and did not have a late kick in the stretch run. BRANNIGAN was four wide on the first turn, stalked the pace into the second turn and weakened in the late going. NORWESTER had no early speed, saved ground through the second turn and did not mount a late rally.
