THE GHOST OF N Y tracked the early pace and made a three wide bid leaving the turn, drew out in the stretch after a few left handed pops with the riding crop in the furlong grounds. TOP HAT ARTIST was reserved early, then advanced three wide on the turn, angled out for racing room by the three sixteenths and finished willingly. COMPACT was allowed to settle early, advanced two wide on the turn, made a inside bid leaving the turn but flattened out, bested rest. MADE TO BE LUCKY chased the early pace on the inside, angled out in the drive, weakened. FREEDOM RACE set the pace while clear, then was headed leaving the turn and faltered badly in the drive.
