Chart notes
AUGUSTA MELODY stalked the pace from outside, bid three deep around the bend, exited the turn five wide, took over in midstretch and gamely prevailed. CHARGE CASH bumped with inner rival early, pressed the pace from between rivals, chased two wide around the turn, came three wide into the stretch, angled in and re-bid inside the top pair in the final furlong but missed. GOOD VIBES ONLY bumped with CHARGE CASH at the start, sped clear then set the pace under pressure from outside, held a short lead through the turn then led clear into the stretch, relinquished command in midstretch but stayed on to hold the show. SCARY FAST SMILE broke out a bit, trailed early and angled down to the rail, saved ground to the stretch and was not a factor. NICHIREN broke through the gate and was reloaded, broke well, pressed the pace three deep then outside the leader into the turn, chased four wide into the lane and weakened.
