FULLBRIDLEDPHANTOM broke sharply to press the pace while racing three-wide, moved up to take command nearing the five-eighths marker, opened a clear lead with a furlong to run and drew off with complete authority. OPTIMISTIC VALOR pressed the pace of the winner while racing three-wide, was no match for that rival in the drive but finished well hold the place. CHEST CANDY was void of early speed, raced five-wide through the second turn and finished with some late run. STITZY settled off the leaders from the inside early, drifted out nearing the seven-eighths marker, moved three-wide through the second turn and finished evenly late. MAD AT MONEY settled off the leaders early, moved three-wide through the second turn and failed to rally. EAST RAND steadied nearing the seven-eighths marker, showed no early speed, raced three-wide through the second turn and did not menace. BOB'S ALL IN lacked early foot, raced five-wide through the second turn and did not offer a bid. BIG BARREL was forwardly placed from the inside and gradually weakened. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY CONCERNING THE STEADYING OF EAST RAND NEARING THE SEVEN-EIGHTHS POLE AND AFTER REVIEWING THE FILMS CONCLUDED THAT STITZY HAD CAUSED THE INFRACTION BY DRIFTING OUT AND WAS DISQUALIED FROM FOURTH AND PLACED SIXTH.
