Chart notes
ALWAYS CHARMING showed speed on the inside of a foe then was eased back and chased the pace, raced in the two path early on the turn, moved to three then four wide late on that bend, gained to make a bid in upper stretch then took the lead before the furlong marker and drew clear under strong urging. MIRACLE NICKY chased the pace on the outside, went three wide on the turn, took a short lead in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner before the furlong marker and was outfinished while just able to get the place. SILVER SAMURAI bumped with a foe at the start, set the pace under pressure to the outside, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked before the quarter-pole, lost the lead in upper stretch, battled under a drive into the final furlong and was out-kicked then just missed the place while clear for the show. EDDIE THE GREAT bumped with a rival at the start, was urged along off the pace, went three wide early on the turn then shifted five wide, moved to six wide at the three-eighths and improved position. BARONE MARCHIS brushed with a foe at the start, raced well back in the field, went around the turn in the two path, came four wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. HOT STEPPER brushed with a foe at the start and was slow into stride, remained well out in the track, went six wide on the turn and was no factor. C. B LOVES A FIGHT was fractious in the gate then hustled from the start, raced off the pace under urging, saved ground on the turn, came out into the stretch and failed to threaten. KANE was ridden along towards the rear, went around the turn in the two path and never reached contention. SOMETHING MAJESTIC was urged along off the pace, went four then three wide on the turn and failed to respond. EMPIRE STATION was urged along in the front half of the field, dropped back three wide on the turn and capitulated. APPALACHIAN LEGEND was urged along on the outside, went five wide on the turn and also failed to respond. MANGO BEACH pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the two path on the turn and faded.
