Chart notes
LILAC GIRL perfect position to the stretch, roused to go clear in the drive under good handling. NOTA BENE good early, blocked inside from quarter pole to eighth pole, angled out to be second best. ESPERER (FR) tracked three wide to the turn with no late gain in the final eighth. ANKYRAH raced well off rail throughout to move up late stretch. CLOSET SHOPPER unhurried early, angled out sharply upper stretch and improved position in the late going. FONSSAGRIVES never a real menace. HALAGA inside speed to the stretch and faded in the drive. H. T. XENA off slow and never menaced. ON THE RISE never a factor. WIN OR CELLAR pressed pace from two path and gave way readily from the turn. LONELY JUNE never a menace.
