SLOW DOWN ANDY went three wide around the first turn, sat off the pace pace in the early going, bid three deep at the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead in upper stretch, lugged in and bumped MESSIER past the three-sixteenths pole and lost the advantage in the process, fought back to take control in the final furlong and drew clear. MESSIER went three deep around the first turn, vied with inside rivals up the backstretch, took over past the three-eighths pole, vied between into the lane, was overtaken in upper stretch, got bumped and regained the lead past the three-sixteenths pole, held a short advantage into the furlong grounds, relinquished the lead approaching the sixteenth marker and yielded late. BAROSSA tracked four wide around the clubhouse turn, remained off the rail and bid four deep with five-sixteenths remaining, could not sustain the bid in upper stretch and weakened down the lane but kept on to earn the show honors. DURANTE vied between rivals for command, took a short lead into the far turn, lost command past the three-eighths pole, fought back from inside to the stretch and weakened. OLYMPIC LEGEND vied for the lead inside a pair of rivals, dropped back around the far turn, tired in the lane and was eased to the wire and walked off.
