Chart notes
FORTY COMETS was hustled from the start, angled in while going to the front, inched clear in the two path for most of the turn, dropped to the rail outside the quarter-pole, responded well when set down in upper stretch and drew off under steady urging. B C GLORY DAYS was hustled from the start, established a good position just off the pace, chased inside on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path and earned the place while no match for the winner. BREW PUB brushed with a rival at the start, was rated off the pace, went two then three wide while asked on the turn, turned four wide into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. SCHERZANDO brushed with a rival at the start and was off a touch slow, moved out while off the pace, chased four then three wide on the turn and weakened. LINDROS pressed the pace on the outside, chased three then two wide on then turn, dropped back into upper stretch, had the rider lose his crop outside the furlong marker and tired. SIR WILLIAM broke a step slow, moved up on the outside under urging, dropped back five wide under strong urging early on the turn, moved to the four then three path late on that bend and faltered.
