CAPTIVATING CARA broke in at the start, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the three path on the turn, took the advantage into upper stretch, inched clear into the final furlong and held under strong urging. ESCAPOLOGY broke a step slow, moved up while urged along, drafted inside to the two path on the turn, shifted three wide while asked at the quarter-pole, pursued the winner on the outside while still on her inside lead in the stretch and finished willingly for the place. PHENOMENAL WOMAN set the pace under pressure to her outside, vied in the two path early on the turn then dropped to the rail, lost the lead into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and was outfinished but clear for the show. BONANA FANNA FOE was coaxed along off the pace, came under stronger encouragement while three then two wide on the turn and lacked the needed response. ETHEL'S DOCTORATE was hustled from the start, chased the pace on the outside then four wide on the turn and tired. STARSHIP ROGUE was urged along on the outside, went four wide on the turn, spun six wide into the stretch and came up empty. PATH LESS TAKEN chased the pace, went three wide on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and capitulated. EMERALD BANKER was ridden along off the pace, dropped back with five furlongs to run, went three to four wide on the turn and was no factor. CINNAMON DREAM was off slow and spotted the front two to three lengths, saved ground on the turn and never reached contention.
