Chart notes
TRIGGER HAPPY vied for the early lead three wide, then made a bid to go on and set the pace on the backstretch, drew clear on the turn, then drew off after one pop with the riding crop and racing green through the stretch, then was wrapped up the final sixteenth while proving much the best. TRUIST was reserved early, then advanced three wide on the turn, angled out leaving the quarter pole and finished willingly while no match for the winner but clearly second best. BOURBON TEDDY was off slowly, then was outrun early, then was along for the show late while having no rally. MISSOURI GENT was allowed to settle early, then made a mild three wide bid on the winner on the turn and tired. LAYTON THE DAY vied for the lead on the inside and stopped.
