Chart notes
MCLAREN VALE broke slow but quickly recovered and went up between rivals to take the lead, dueled into and around the bend along the rail, battled down the stretch and drew clear in the final sixteenth. B DAWK broke in a bit, vied three deep early on then dueled outside leaving the backstretch, battled around the turn and down the stretch, drifted in a bit in the furlong grounds and had to settle for second best. BALLADEER dropped back early, navigated the turn three wide and lacked a response when called upon. GODSEND contested the pace early from inside, chased the top pair leaving the backstretch, moved out to the two path on the turn then raced a bit off the rail into the stretch.
