Chart notes
FREEPORT JOE sat just off of the early pace inside of foes into the backstretch run, lost a bit of ground leaving the second turn, swung five wide for the drive, was urged under a firm hand-ride in the final furlong and surged in the last strides to share for the win. NAVY ARMED GUARD was forwardly placed while tracking the pace outside of foes on the backstretch run, mounted a three wide bid on the second turn to improve position, wore down JUNGLE CRY inside of the sixteenth marker and was tagged on the wire by FREEPORT JOE to share for the win. JUNGLE CRY tracked IN OUR A through the clubhouse turn then came to terms with the pacesetter to press into the second turn, was two wide between rivals on the second turn, vied for the lead inside of the furlong marker between rivals and was outfinished in the final strides. IN OUR A was away alertly and was hustled to set the pace, was met by JUNGLE CRY along the backstretch run to contest the fractions, was put to a drive leaving the second turn and kept on inside of the sixteenth marker but yielded in the late going. HARMON saved ground while close up through the second turn, was still within range inside of the furlong marker and weakened in the final sixteenth. NOWHERE MAN stalked the pace outside of rivals through the backstretch run, could not keep pace while three wide on the second turn and gave way in the late stages. MANILA MISCHIEF was unhurried in the early going, improved position on the second turn while four wide outside of rivals but did not go on with that run and tired in the drive.
