Chart notes
BANDEENA was off alertly and was sent to set the fractions while being pressured throughout, was able to gain a bit of ground on the rest leaving the second turn, was confronted by MAGICAL THOUGHT inside of the furlong marker, dueled with that foe, dug in and just got the nod in the final strides. MAGICAL THOUGHT tracked the pace outside of foes through the backstretch run, gained ground on the second turn while three deep, was urged along nearing the furlong marker to confront BANDEENA, dueled with that rival and was gamely bested in the end, while well clear of the rest. SASSY EINSTEIN was allowed to settle inside of rivals through the backstretch run and passed tiring foes in the drive to claim third. SHANGHAI MIST pressed the pace between foes through the backstretch run, could not keep up on the far turn and weakened in the stretch run. BLUEGRASS SKY steadied in tight quarters approaching the first turn, pressed the pace through the backstretch while outside of rivals, vied for the lead nearing the quarter-marker and tired in the late going. SANDY SUNSHINE was hustled along the backstretch to pressure the pace inside of rivals, gave ground into the second turn and gave out in the stretch run.
