Chart notes

KHALI MAGIC settled just off the pace on the outside, tracked the leader while three then two wide on the turn, was asked nearing the quarter-pole then came under a drive into upper stretch, took the lead outside the furlong marker and drew away under strong urging. BASTET broke out at the start, angled in quickly while going to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked at the quarter-pole then came under a drive, lost the lead outside the furlong marker and proved on match for the winner while clear for the place. A RING THING was sent hard from the start, established a good position just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, turned into the stretch in the two path, moved out under a drive around the three-sixteenths and came up empty while best of the rest. HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH was taken up briefly early, settled at the rear on the outside, went four wide on the turn and failed to respond. MATOULA was hustled from the start, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid with a half-mile to run, came up empty in the two path on the turn and retreated. JASMINESQUE was hustled from the start, settled off the pace, dropped back in the two path on the turn and faltered.
