Chart notes
HERCULES HARBOR rated close inside the first turn, bid nearing the five sixteenths pole and took the lead in the four path midway on the far turn, drifted a bit into the stretch and dug in under steady encouragement to hold on well. DEPUTY JAMES rounded the first turn about the six path and settled off the pace leaving the turn, picked up the chase leaving the seven sixteenths pole, rounded the far turn in the six and seven paths, left the turn widest and dug in to take second later yards. MIKI hesitated and gave up several lengths at the break then saved ground, eased out with a bid into the backstretch, rounded the far turn off the rail and steadily progressed to take third the final strides. CHAMPAGNE JAM settled off the rail the first turn, bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole, ran in the six path of the far turn and finished well outside. JUST GETS BETTER raced with the pace inside, started a duel toward the three eighths pole, was caught at the rail midway on the far turn then weakened inside the sixteenth pole. HUCKLEBERRY FRIEND rounded the first turn in the five path, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole, came through the far turn in the six path and showed little in the lane. NORMANDY'S EMPIRE raced with the pace, dueled from the three eighths pole, continued close between horses on the far turn then weakened in the lane. NOBLE EL SID settled off the pace in the three and four paths, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole but weakened at the rail on the far turn. MINI BOLT rated close off the rail, challenged nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn three wide then weakened into the lane. WEAVE IT QUIXOTE settled off the pace in the three and four paths, picked up the chase nearing the three eighths pole then weakened at the rail on the far turn.
