Chart notes
SHIRL'S SPEIGHT broke readily, was carried inwards racing through the chute by DRIFTWOOD, stalked that rival along the rail into the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn while continuing under patient handling, tipped outside the leader racing into upper stretch, wrested the advantage and went clear late under firm handling. HIDDEN STASH, held up along the inside racing to the first turn, tracked off the second flight along the inside to the far turn, angled three wide racing into upper stretch and continued with a steady late bid to edge a rival for second. DRIFTWOOD pulled his way to the lead while angling to the rail midway through the chute, dictated the pace on a comfortable margin to the far turn, held sway into upper stretch but yielded once headed by the winner. KURAMATA (IRE), caught in tight quarters nearest the inside in the opening stages, was reserved near the inside to the backstretch, swung outside foes on the far turn to race four wide into upper stretch but lacked the needed final kick to miss for a share while finishing in hand nearing the wire. KYGO (GER) reserved outside foes racing to the backstretch, was fanned five wide into the stretch to gain some position but made no real impact. PATRIOT DRIVE shifted inwards racing through the chute while crossing over the path of SONNY SMACK, tracked off the second flight between foes to the backstretch, shifted out three deep between foes racing through the far turn while being urged to advance but had no closing response. A ROSE FOR RAVEN tracked off the second flight outside a rival racing to the backstretch, shifted three wide into the far turn to lodge a brief bid, but flattened racing into the stretch. TWO STEPPIN KLUKI, forwardly placed tracking just outside the pacesetter racing to the backstretch, emptied out early. SONNY SMACK, caught in tight quarters, then squeezed between foes in the opening stages, clipped heels racing through the chute, was collected while dropping out last and trailed the field to the lane.
