Chart notes
ULTIMATE BANGO got a light brush from outside at the start, settled along the inside, took closer order around the turn, split the top pair in upper stretch, drove clear and held safely in the end. SOUTHERN HORSE (ARG) got forced in and bumped at the start, saved ground at the back through the turn, moved out a bit in the drive and closed well to earn the place. ENCODER raced outside a pair of rivals at the back early on, moved a bit closer and chased three then four wide around the turn, rallied from outside and got edged for the place. NEVER HAVE I EVER (IRE) dueled for command inside NERO, battled through the turn, put away that rival in upper stretch but was soon challenged by the winner at the eighth pole, relinquished the lead and weakened in the final furlong. FORE LEFT got bumped from outside at the start, was well placed early behind the top pair, went two wide into the turn, took aim three wide into the stretch but flattened in the late stages. FIGHT ON came in at the start, tracked between foes then two wide around the turn, angled out the in the lane and lacked further response. NERO dueled outside NEVER HAVE I EVER (IRE) up the backstretch, around the turn and into the stretch, lost contact in upper stretch and weakened.
