Chart notes
CANDY MAN ROCKET pressed the pace two wide, took over near the seven-sixteenths marker, quickly cleared, had the rider lose the whip leaving the eighth pole and widened under hand urging. ARTEMUS CITYLIMITS tracked the pace two wide between foes, moved into a clear second in upper stretch, continued on the left lead through the lane and just lasted for the place. VIOLENT CITY settled off the early pace outside, advanced four wide around the turn, rallied between rivals and just missed second. SOUP AND SANDWICH was bumped at the start then squeezed back soon after, raced well back early, advanced four and five wide around the turn, rallied widest and just missed second and third. PREVALENCE bobbled at the break then bumped SOUP AND SANDWICH raced well back two and three wide and ran on to improve position in the stretch. WAR STOPPER failed to menace while racing three wide. WHERE PARADISE LAY tracked the pace three wide and faded in the final furlong. HE HATE ME played no factor while racing four wide. JOE DI BAGGIO chased the pace two wide and retreated through the lane. BON RAISON set the early pace along the rail and was done after a half.
