Chart notes
MORELLO was coaxed along just off the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the four path, gained to take the lead in the five path into the stretch, shook clear into the final furlong and drew away under a brisk hand-ride to prove much the best. LIFE IS GREAT pressed then chased the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, took the lead with three furlongs to run, lost the advantage to the winner in the four path into the stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. BEAST OR FAMINE settled off the pace, was taken up leaving the backstretch, went two then there wide while asked on the turn, came five wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. DANCE CODE was off slow and spotted the front a couple lengths, raced on the outside while ridden along, went five wide on the turn and came up empty. HAGLER was coaxed to the front, showed the way under some pressure, vied inside under urging on the turn, lost the lead at the three-eighths then dropped back at the five-sixteenths and faded.
