BAYOU BOUGIE was hustled along while tapering in and pressured the pace, contested at a close disadvantage two deep on the turn, took the nod into the stretch and dug in determinedly to deter WINDSOR'S CHAMPION to the finish. The latter was hustled along while tapering in and set a pressured pace just off the rail, angled to the rail leaving the five sixteenths pole, was met at the eighth pole and dueled gamely to deep stretch before relenting; grudgingly. NELLYSFORD chased and rounded the turn two deep, eased out leaving the turn and just missed second in a strong finish. SUZYSELLSSEASHELLS steadied through the chute then picked up the chase from the half mile pole, rounded the turn about the four path, eased out entering the stretch and finished well outside. U S FUNDS chased through the backstretch, rounded the turn in the three and four paths, left the turn about the five path then flattened the final sixteenth. LIL MISS FIBER engaged in close chase, was shut off and checked at the rail leaving the five sixteenths pole, quickly recovered stride but weakened inside the eighth pole. MARY BOPPINS TOO gave close early chase but steadied between horses approaching the five sixteenths pole and flattened at the rail on the turn. SINGING HARMONY was not a factor. The Stewards reviewed claims of foul against the rider of Windsor's Champion, lodged by the riders of Lil Miss Fiber and Mary Boppins Too. Both claims took place in the vicinity of the five sixteenths pole. As a result, Windsor's Champion was disqualified to seventh place for interference to both prior mentioned horses.
