Chart notes
ROOKIEOFTHEYEAR , five deep the first turn while showing no speed, was five wide the far turn, closed gradually outside horses and was up approaching the finish. CACHIRULO , inside horses while stalking the pace down the backstretch, steadied in close quarters near the three eighths pole, eased out entering the stretch, bid for the lead in upper stretch and was bumped by NIGHT BOSS near the sixteenth pole. NIGHT BOSS prompted the pace two wide down the backstretch, gained the lead leaving the backstretch, opened up on the far turn, tired and bumped CACHIRULO near the sixteenth pole. MAKE THE WAY CLEAR , steadied in close quarters the first turn, raced four wide the far turn and lacked the needed late response. MERCURY TEN , three wide both turns, chased the pace and faltered. KIAWAH ISLAND showed speed along the inner rail and faltered turning for home. SPEED DIALER bore out entering the first turn, raced four wide on both turns and fell back.
