Chart notes
DYNA STRIKE was unhurried early then rallied on the far turn, was six wide for the stretch drive then was bumped sideways in late stretch and was along in time. OPTIMAL TRIP was settled while inside on the backstretch, rallied on the far turn, angled out to be two wide and split rivals then bumped with CAIRO WARRIOR in late stretch forcing that rival out then was out finished in the end. BRENTLEY (GB) vied for the lead while inside, was in a long drive throughout then drew off in mid stretch and drifted out slightly and was bumped by OPTIMAL TRIP in deep stretch and was out finish. LIGHT CRUISER was unhurried early then rallied on the far turn, was three wide in upper stretch then was bumped in late stretch from both sides, clipped heels of OPTIMAL TRIP and lost his irons in the final seventy yards. CAIRO WARRIOR vied for the lead from between rivals on the backstretch, was in a long drive then was forced out and bumped hard a couple of times in late stretch and taken up off heels. GOOD SWIMMER was unhurried early then made a mild rally and was no threat in the stretch. KING ARTHUR RIDGE was unhurried early and was no factor. BULL RING was unhurried early and outrun. WHITAKER vied for the lead while three wide on the backstretch, was used up then stopped. A steward's inquiry was held concerning the stretch drive. After reviewing the film's, the steward's disqualified OPTIMAL TRIP from second and was placed fifth for interference in late stretch
