Chart notes

SKIMS (GB), in touch stalking just outside the pacesetter in the opening half, took over leaving the far turn, then gamely held the challenge of SWEET DUTCHESS to the end under firm handling. The latter tracked just off the first flight racing to the backstretch, tipped three wide on the far turn advancing to challenge the winner racing into upper stretch, closed the gap late but couldn't gain even terms with the winner. FINERY was guided to the inside early tracking off the first flight to the far turn, saved ground on the second bend, tipped out three wide entering the lane but lacked the needed late bid. MIRTH 'N MERRIMENT, urged to the lead along the inside racing to the backstretch, dueled for command inside the eventual winner into the far turn, then gave way once headed racing into upper stretch. SWEET LAURA, caught in tight quarters at the start, settled last early and failed to menace thereafter.
