Chart notes

STRAIGHT SKINNY bumped with a rival just after the start, was forwardly placed on the outside, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the four then three path on the turn, took the lead at the five-sixteenths, shook clear with a quarter-mile to run and drew away under strong urging. NOBLE JOURNEY broke out and bumped with a foe, was coaxed along early then chased the pace, dropped back three then four wide on the turn and earned the place while no match for the winner. MAKE IT IN NY bumped with a rival at the start, settled off the pace, moved from three to five wide under urging on the turn and lacked the needed response while able to get the show. EL MAYOR showed good speed, set the clear pace, was challenged leaving the backstretch, vied inside of a foe in the two path on the turn, lost the advantage at the five-sixteenths, dropped back into the stretch and tired. BIG CASTLE broke slow then was taken up, angled in at the rear of the field, saved ground on the turn and was no factor. MISTER CANDY RIDE was bumped soundly on both sides at the start, settled off the pace, was urged along passing the five-eighths, rounded the turn in the two path and failed to respond. PATTY O'MARC bumped solidly with a foe at the start then was hustled, settled towards the back then dropped well behind, rounded the turn in the five path and was eased but walked off.
