MALIBU TIME steadied nearing the first turn, raced four wide off the runaway leader around that bend, angled in on the backstretch, advanced inside around the far turn, split rivals in upper stretch, took the lead leaving the eighth pole, angled in and lasted. VERSATILE saved ground well off the pace, edged closer two wide around the far turn, angled out turning for home, bumped with IRISH KING in upper stretch, surged late and just missed. QUANTUM THEORY was rank while racing three wide around the first turn, advanced three wide around the far turn, bid near the eighth pole and was outkicked between. JEST ABOVE raced closest to the pacesetter two wide, took the lead leaving the quarter pole, led past the eighth pole but was outfinished. IRISH KING rated back early, saved ground toward the rear, made some progress two wide around the far turn, swung five wide near the quarter pole, bumped with VERSATILE in upper stretch then rallied widest. TAPIT BRIO raced off the early pace two wide, edged closer four wide around the far turn then was one-paced in the lane. LEGAL STAR saved ground and failed to menace. KOOSMAN sprinted clear, set the pace inside, was collared turning for home, was in tight in upper stretch and weakened inside. ABLETON played no factor while racing three wide.
