PROOF OF JAZZ was away alertly, was sent to clear the field into the first turn, set moderate fractions through the second turn, opened a clear lead into the stretch, came under mild pressure in the end but held safely to prevail. STATEFOREST stalked the early pace, gained a bit of ground on PROOF OF JAZZ along the backstretch run, chased the winner into the stretch drive and closed in the final stages but was outfinished while holding for second. ESCAPE THE CITY (GB) was away a step slowly and was allowed to settle in the early stages, saved ground through the second turn and made a late gain along the rail to be a clear third. CASINO GAMES was unhurried through the early going, saved ground along the second turn, made a mild late bid in the stretch drive but lacked the needed late response. INDIAN DANCER settled in the midflight just off of the early pace, gained a bit of ground along the second turn while three wide and weakened in the stretch run.
