Chart notes
H. T. XENA stalked the pace from the four path into the far turn, rallied three wide to make the lead nearing the top of the stretch, was put to a left handed whip past the furlong marker then widened through the final half furlong to win as much the best under a strong hand ride. HIGH HEAVEN broke in front, set the pace until the quarter pole then was no match for the winner. SCHOOLED never far back, finished determinedly. MY D'VALENTINE pressed the pace into the far turn, loomed boldly two wide nearing the quarter pole then came up empty. SHARP LIFE failed to menace. NELL'S BELLS reared at the start and was no threat. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND AFTER REVIEW UPHELD THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
