Chart notes
METROPOL chased the early leaders while three wide, rallied on the backstretch, then menaced three wide on the far turn to draw off in the stretch proving best. UNCLE ARTIE saved ground along the rail on the first turn, stalked the leader on the backstretch, dueled for the lead on the far turn but gave way in the end. DRIVEHAPPY dueled for the lead while two wide, was in long drive, but faltered in the stretch. KOKOKOMO settled two wide on the backstretch, then bid four wide on the far turn to rally mildly entering the stretch but was no threat. MAYBERRY SALOON was unhurried early, saved ground along the rail on the far turn, but flattened out in the end. HECOULDGOALLTHEWAY dueled from the inside on the first turn, then kept the lead on the backstretch but dropped back on the far turn but was no menace in the end. CAPT. ST. JACQUES chased the leaders while three wide, then vied for the lead on the far turn but weakened in the stretch. WILLY SPECIAL CATS was unhurried early then bore out on the far turn and was no factor.
