HIERRO set the pace along the rail, dug in inside of METEORITO when that foe reached even terms near the quarter pole, dueled inside to deep stretch then edged ahead late. METEORITO settled off the early pace outside, advanced two wide around the turn, reached even terms near the quarter pole, dueled outside of the winner to deep stretch and was outfinished. WILD TEXAS TOM lacked speed, raced two wide around the turn and was along for the show. VINNY DREAM chased the pace inside and had no response. KICK IN THE GAS had early speed between foes and retreated three wide around the turn. WESTERLY WIND was outrun while saving ground around the turn and angling out in upper stretch. SPIN RATE was bumped between foes early and played no factor while racing two wide. PALIZA came out and bumped SPIN RATE into KING SLEW soon after the start, had brief speed three wide, faltered around the turn and was easing through the lane. KING SLEW (ARG) was bumped early, saved ground around the turn and retreated. A CLAIM OF FOUL FROM THE TRAINER OF METEORITO AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH WAS NOT ALLOWED.
