SLEEPY N JOYFUL tracked between horses through the clubhouse turn, prompted outside of BEST CAUSE into the backstretch, settled back to stalk just off her approaching the turn, engaged her for good past the seven sixteenths, gained even terms two wide near the quarter, continued to give chase when BEST CAUSE kicked away in upper stretch, regained even terms midstretch, dueled outside her and prevailed. BEST CAUSE was away sharply, set the pace through the clubhouse turn, maintained a narrow lead down the back straight as SLEEPY N JOYFUL outside and ABOVE THE LINE inside intermittently prompted her, was engaged in earnest by SLEEPY N JOYFUL past the seven sixteenths, met even terms with her near the quarter, briefly kicked away again in upper stretch, but dueled inside of SLEEPY N JOYFUL through the final furlong and was narrowly outfinished by that foe. FAVORITE DOLL chased midfield inside of SEEKING THE THRONE early, continued at the back of a compact main group down the back straight, edged up to take closer order inside from near the half, chased inside around the far turn, angled out approaching the quarter, swung into the turn five wide, responded with a rally, but could not get to the leading pair late. HONESTA settled at the rear, raced inside of EMPRESS NEFERTITI around the clubhouse turn and into the backstretch, took closer order on the main group into the lane, swung out, and kept on mildly to gain a minor award late. SEEKING THE THRONE chased two wide through the clubhouse turn, continued midfield between horses down the backstretch, offered a mild two wide bid near the seven sixteenths, could not get within close range of the leading pair, chased on under a drive in the lane while no match for the top three, and lost fourth late. ABOVE THE LINE tracked the leader inside through the clubhouse turn, continued to track the leading pair down the back straight, chased that pair while saving ground through the clubhouse turn, had no bid into the lane and weakened inside. SWITCHRATTLENROLL tracked three wide through the first turn, settled back to chase four wide down the backstretch, was driven in the five to six path around the far turn and lacked a rally in the eight path in the lane. EMPRESS NEFERTITI raced two wide in the rear pair around the first turn, was urged through the clubhouse turn to keep up, lost ground steadily from the half, had no further response when driven into the lane and was not persevered with late.
