Chart notes
D' YANK stalked the pace from the outside in the run up the backstretch, three wide turn, advanced to challenge on the outside nearing midstretch, kicked clear under steady handling. PETIT VERDOT moved up along the inside soon after the start to contest the pace, dueled closest to the inside through the turn, continued to vie past midstretch, could not keep pace with the winner the final sixteenth, gained the nod for the place. FREUDIAN FATE broke on top, vied up the backstretch, dueled through the turn outside the runner up, long drive with that one for the place, missed. FUTILE behind the pace off the inside, was three wide through most of the turn, slowly gaining for the second spot while widest of the second flight at the wire. CARL G tracked the leaders just off the inside, dropped to the rail for the drive, went evenly to the finish. FLATOUT WINNER four out to five wide through the turn, lacked a serious kick. NEWS BOX tired while racing four wide.
