Chart notes
IRISH CONTESSA was forwardly placed to lay up close early on, raced three wide around the far turn through the stretch run and finished well to be clear late under strong pressure. RIVER DEPUTY was allowed to settle early, moved up four wide and finished second best. INTOXICATING KISS was slow early on, moved up three wide and showed good late interest. S C ANGEL set all the pace along the inside and weakened the final eighth of a mile. JUST SPLENDID was off slowly, raced near the back of the pack early, raced five to six wide through the upper stretch and never was a factor. KISS MY GRITS was off a step slow, raced three wide and never threatened. DIXIE DELTA pressed the pace between rivals and gave way.
