NORTH SEA was forwardly placed in the early going while saving ground, mounted an inside bid off of the turn to close on the leading pair, took command nearing the final sixteenth and edged clear in the late stages. THECHIEFHASTRICKS was away alertly and showed good early speed through the turn, came under pressure nearing the furlong marker, battled against the winner but could not hold him off, was caught nearing the sixteenth-marker and just saved second in the end. INTO BOURBON chased the early pace, advanced while three wide on the turn, vied for the lead approaching the furlong grounds and was outfinished in the final sixteenth, while just missing for second. WORD OF WARNING bobbled at the start, chased the pace from the inside through the turn and was outkicked in the stretch run. FANTASTIC DREAM was bumped by UNCLE DANNY at the break and was off slowly, lacked early speed to the turn, was two wide nearing the quarter-marker and made a mild late rally in the stretch. UNCLE DANNY bumped FANTASTIC DREAM leaving the start, tracked the pace to the turn, steadied in traffic at the three-eighths marker, lost ground into the stretch and gave way in the late stages. TAM'S TIME was a bit slow into stride in the early stages, saved ground while lacking speed on the turn and was not a factor. THE CALABRESE KID chased the early pace to the turn, checked in tight quarters at the three furlong marker, lost ground into the stretch run, was aggressively steered out nearing the sixteenth-marker and bothered TRIBUTE TO ART and tired in the late going. TRIBUTE TO ART crowded WHISPER AND WINK at the break, chased the early pace to the turn, lost ground into the stretch, was aggressively bumped by THE CALABRESE KID nearing the sixteenth-marker when that one was steered out and gave way in the final stages. WHISPER AND WINK was crowded at the start and off a step slowly, lacked early speed to the turn while outside of rivals and was not a threat.
