Chart notes
ALPHA'S CANDY MAN prompted the pace outside, took over after the half mile and edged away in the stretch. WORLD REGARD raced close up inside, angled out and continued willingly for the place. HE RUNS THE LINE chased wide throughout and rallied mildly in the stretch. FANELLI rushed to a clear lead inside, was collared on the turn and weakened. WILLIE MAYS HAYS saved ground off the pace and went evenly late. GO SKIPPY GO lagged far behind then passed fading rivals. ORACABESSA chased inside and was never in contention. BEACH BANDIT raced outside within range down the backstretch and faltered. FRED'S GONEFISHING dropped back early and was never a factor. PREFONTAINE lacked speed and faltered.
