Chart notes
BILLY YANK came through tight quarters at the start to track off the second flight three wide between foes, commenced a steady advance nearing upper stretch and continued in that path to wrest the advantage and go clear in time under firm left handed pressure. EL GUAPO broke inwards crossing the paths of several rivals, was quickly righted, then sprinted clear racing through the backstretch, widened the advantage entering the turn, held sway past midstretch but faltered late. POSEIDONS MYTH, caught in close quarters at the start, switched out four wide tracking off the second flight just outside the eventual winner, continued in that path into the bend, angled to the rail nearing upper stretch and continued with interest to close the gap while just outkicked for the place honors. RAL COPPERHEADROAD shifted out in early stages to track behind the second between foes racing to the turn but lacked a rally. CALLE DE BOYD switched off the inside early while being urged pursuing the pacesetter to the turn but soon gave out nearing upper stretch. PESKY VALESKI tracked the pacesetter as part of the second flight along the inside on the backstretch but faded early.
